The UKTFA - Who We Are - The Team
On 1 January 2002 the UK Timber Frame Association (UKTFA) was launched to provide
a strong, unified voice for the UK industry.
The UKTFA promotes timber frame to the construction industry and the public;
provides information and guidance, both technical and consumer; and aims to ensure
that all sectors of UK construction fully exploit the benefits of timber frame
- speed of erection; thermal and acoustic excellence; durability; environmental
friendliness; and design flexibility.
Timber Frames environmental credentials are particularly relevant as specifiers
and procurers increasingly emphasise the need for sustainability in construction.
